Kia Carens Facelift Launched in India at INR 12.11 Lakh; Gets New Variants

Kia India has launched the facelift version of its famous Carens MPV in the Indian market. The automaker has updated the Carens range with the addition of nine variants. Now, the MPV is available in a total of 30 variants. The previous Carens model price starts at INR 10.52 lakh (ex-showroom), while the price of the new variants begins at INR 12.11 lakh (ex-showroom). The Kia Carens top-end X-Line variant is now updated with high-end features, and it is priced at INR 19.67 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Carens Facelift comes equipped with a new exterior color, a new diesel engine, and several updated features. The new nine models are available in several trims, including Luxury, Luxury+, Prestige, Prestige+, Premium, and Premium (O). The South Korean automaker has added a U2 1.5 VGT diesel engine to the Carens range. The engine is paired with a six-speed manual transmission. The company has not revealed the power output of this new diesel engine.

Kia offers the Carens MPV with three powertrain options: a 1.5-litre turbo petrol, a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. In terms of exterior color choices, the brand has unveiled the Pewter Olive shade for all trims except the Carens X-Line model. The company introduced the same color for the first time in the Kia Seltos Facelift SUV. Customers will now be able to select between eight single-tone, one matte-gray, and three dual-tone colors, which are exclusively available in the X-Line variant.

The X-Line variant of the Carens was first launched in October 2023, and it is now available with new features such as 7-seat configuration, a dashcam, and voice commands for window functions. In addition, the charger available in this model has been replaced with a 180W charger, which is more powerful than the previous 120W charger.

The Prestige+ (O) trim now comes with updated amenities like 7-speed DCT and 6-speed automatic gearbox, a sunroof, room lamp, and LED map lamp. On the other hand, the Prestige (O) variant comes equipped with a leatherette-wrapped gear knob, LED rear lamp, smart key with push-button start, positioning lamp, and LED DRLs. Furthermore, the Premium (O) trim comes loaded with features like keyless entry, mounted controls on steering wheels, an 8-speaker audio system, shark fin antenna, enhanced safety features, and burglar alarms.
